Before recording or sharing other people, make sure you have every notice, consent, and permission required where you and the participants are located. Severe Prohibited Content can lead to immediate removal and permanent account termination.
Agreement and definitions
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of Lassu's websites, desktop and mobile applications, browser extensions, APIs, recording tools, video hosting and sharing features, artificial-intelligence features, and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”).
These Terms are an agreement between you and the provider of the Lassu Services identified in an applicable order form or other written agreement (“Lassu,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accepting these Terms, purchasing a subscription, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it; “you” and “Customer” then refer to that organization.
For these Terms:
- Authorized User means an individual Customer permits to use its account or workspace.
- Customer Content means recordings, audio, screen captures, images, files, comments, transcripts, prompts, text, data, and other content submitted to, stored in, transmitted through, or generated from Customer's use of the Services.
- Documentation means our current plan descriptions, technical documentation, and published usage instructions.
- Order means an online checkout, order form, enterprise agreement, or other ordering document identifying the Services purchased.
- Lassu Technology means the Services, software, applications, APIs, models, interfaces, designs, documentation, systems, and related intellectual property, excluding Customer Content.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where you live to enter into these Terms. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and you may not knowingly use the Services to collect or process children's personal information in violation of applicable law.
You may not use the Services if applicable law prohibits you from doing so. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
Accounts, workspaces, and administrators
Account registration
You must provide accurate and complete account information and keep it current. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity through your account, except to the extent caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law. Promptly notify us at allan+lassu@pageonelab.com if you become aware of unauthorized access.
Workspaces and administrators
The Services may allow users to create or join workspaces, teams, or organizations. Administrators may add or remove users, configure sharing and security, access and manage Customer Content, manage billing, and use other administrative controls. If you join an organization-controlled workspace, that organization and its Administrators may control the account and Customer Content associated with the workspace.
Organizational email domains
Where supported and subject to applicable notice requirements, we may associate an account using an organization-owned email address with that organization's workspace or permit an authorized Administrator to manage it.
Right to use the Services
Subject to these Terms, an applicable Order, and payment of fees, Lassu grants Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right during the applicable subscription term to access and use the Services for personal or internal business purposes and other uses expressly supported by the Documentation.
Downloadable software is licensed, not sold, solely for use with the Services. It may update automatically. Open-source components are governed by their applicable licenses. Unless we expressly permit it, you may not resell, sublicense, rent, lease, white-label, time-share, or provide the Services as a standalone service bureau or outsourced infrastructure service.
Customer Content
Ownership
As between Customer and Lassu, Customer retains all right, title, and interest in Customer Content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Customer Content to us.
License needed to operate Lassu
Customer grants Lassu and its affiliates, contractors, and subprocessors a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transcode, transmit, display, perform, and create technical derivatives of Customer Content only as reasonably necessary to:
- provide, operate, secure, support, and improve the Services;
- perform Customer-requested actions, including recording, editing, playback, sharing, transcription, summarization, and search;
- prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of these Terms;
- comply with applicable law and valid legal process; and
- exercise our rights and obligations under these Terms.
This license ends when Customer Content is deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable backup, disaster-recovery, legal-retention, and security practices.
Customer responsibilities
Customer represents and warrants that it has all rights, notices, permissions, and consents needed for Lassu to process Customer Content as contemplated by these Terms. Customer is responsible for Customer Content and for the legality of recording, uploading, sharing, processing, and distributing it.
Recording, consent, and sharing
Recording laws
The Services may let you record screens, cameras, microphones, meetings, calls, presentations, or other people. You are solely responsible for determining whether notice, consent, or other authorization is required before recording or processing another person's voice, image, communications, personal data, or activity.
You must comply with applicable recording, wiretap, interception, privacy, biometric, employment, and data-protection laws. You may not use Lassu to make unlawful or deceptively concealed recordings. If an application, extension, automated participant, or meeting bot joins on your behalf, you are responsible for legally required notice and consent.
Sharing controls
Customer Content may be shared through public, workspace, restricted, unlisted, password-protected, or other link settings. You are responsible for selecting appropriate controls. Anyone who obtains a public or broadly shareable link may be able to access or redistribute its content.
Export and deletion
You are responsible for exporting Content you wish to retain before closing an account or losing access. After termination or deletion, we may delete or de-identify Customer Content under our retention practices, except where law or a written agreement requires retention. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Artificial-intelligence features
The Services may include machine-learning or generative-AI features, such as transcription, summaries, titles, chapters, editing suggestions, search, action items, meeting notes, translations, or content generation (“AI Features”). Content submitted to an AI Feature is Input; generated content is Output. As between Customer and Lassu, Input and Output are Customer Content, subject to applicable law and third-party rights.
Review all Output
AI Features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, misleading, or otherwise unreliable Output. Output may not be unique. You are responsible for reviewing Output before using, publishing, relying on, or acting on it. Do not rely on Output as a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, safety, or other expert advice.
Providers and data use
We may use third-party model or infrastructure providers to supply AI Features. Their material processing is described in our Privacy Policy or an applicable Data Processing Addendum. Lassu does not obtain ownership of Customer Content merely because you use an AI Feature.
AI restrictions
You may not use AI Features to:
- violate law or third-party rights, or bypass technical, safety, or policy controls;
- generate or facilitate malware, fraud, phishing, deceptive impersonation, or other abuse;
- create unlawful deceptive synthetic media or prohibited high-impact decisions about a person; or
- systematically extract Output to develop or train a competing foundation model without our written permission.
Acceptable use
You may not use the Services to:
- violate law, court order, or another legally binding obligation;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
- upload child sexual abuse material or content that exploits or endangers minors;
- threaten, stalk, harass, exploit, or unlawfully discriminate against others;
- distribute malware, ransomware, phishing content, credential-stealing tools, spam, or harmful code;
- facilitate fraud, scams, identity theft, deceptive impersonation, or unauthorized access;
- probe vulnerabilities, evade security or rate limits, or disrupt the Services without authorization;
- reverse engineer non-public source code, algorithms, model weights, or APIs, except where law expressly permits;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or automatically extract data except through Lassu-provided APIs or with written permission;
- systematically replicate or benchmark Lassu Technology to build a directly competing product, except where expressly permitted; or
- encourage or assist anyone else in doing any of the above.
Prohibited and sensitive content
You may not upload, record, host, generate, transmit, publish, display, or share through Lassu any unlawful, harmful, offensive, exploitative, infringing, or otherwise objectionable content (“Prohibited Content”). This rule applies even when content is private, unlisted, password-protected, restricted to a workspace, or created only as Input for an AI Feature.
Prohibited Content includes, but is not limited to, content that:
- Sexually exploits or endangers minors, including child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexualization of minors, or any attempt to solicit, create, trade, or obtain such material;
- Contains pornography or sexually explicit material, including explicit nudity or sexual acts, solicitation of sexual services, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexually explicit deepfakes;
- Contains extreme gore or graphic violence, including depictions of torture, mutilation, dismemberment, severe injury, death, or cruelty presented to shock, glorify harm, or encourage imitation;
- Threatens, celebrates, incites, or instructs violence, abuse, kidnapping, human trafficking, or physical harm against a person, group, or animal;
- Promotes or supports terrorism or violent extremism, including propaganda, praise, recruitment, radicalization, fundraising, operational instruction, or symbols used to endorse a terrorist or violent extremist organization;
- Promotes hatred or unlawful discrimination or dehumanizes, threatens, or attacks people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, disability, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, or another protected characteristic;
- Encourages suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous challenges, including instructional or celebratory material likely to create a serious risk of injury;
- Facilitates serious illegal or dangerous activity, including trafficking, exploitation, fraud, phishing, identity theft, sale of illegal drugs or weapons, instructions to make explosives, malware, credential theft, or unauthorized system access;
- Infringes copyright or other rights, including pirated films, television, music, courses, software, broadcasts, or other material you do not own or have permission or a legal right to record, upload, or share;
- Violates privacy or confidentiality, including doxxing; stolen personal data; exposed passwords or access tokens; or another person's intimate, medical, financial, biometric, or confidential information without lawful authority;
- Harasses, bullies, stalks, defames, blackmails, or exploits another person, or distributes humiliating content without a legitimate and lawful purpose;
- Deceptively impersonates a person or organization, manipulates media to facilitate harm or fraud, or falsely presents synthetic content as authentic where doing so is likely to deceive or harm others; or
- Attempts to evade enforcement through encoding, obfuscation, misleading titles, disposable accounts, alternate workspaces, or repeated uploads of removed material.
A category does not need to be named above to be prohibited. We may act on content that is substantially similar to these examples or inconsistent with the safety and integrity of the Services. Context such as legitimate documentary, journalistic, medical, scientific, or educational use may be considered, but does not guarantee that content will be permitted, and never excuses unlawful material or sexual exploitation.
Review and enforcement
Lassu has no obligation to monitor every recording, but may investigate content or accounts using reports, technical signals, automated tools, and human review where permitted by law. We may require removal or correction; block a share link; remove, quarantine, or preserve content; restrict features; suspend processing; or temporarily or permanently terminate any related account or workspace.
Serious violations may result in immediate and permanent account termination without prior notice. This includes child sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, credible threats, terrorism or violent extremism, extreme graphic violence, serious criminal activity, large-scale infringement, attempts to evade enforcement, or conduct that creates an urgent risk of harm. To the extent permitted by law, termination for a violation does not entitle Customer to a refund.
We may preserve evidence and report or disclose Prohibited Content and related account information to law enforcement, regulators, child-protection organizations, rights holders, or other appropriate parties when required or permitted by law. Creating or using another account after a permanent ban is a separate violation and may result in termination of every related account. If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, contact allan+lassu@pageonelab.com; an appeal does not suspend the action.
Fair use and “Unlimited” plans
Infrastructure abuse
You may not impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Services or consume extraordinary storage, transcoding, AI, networking, database, or bandwidth resources in a way inconsistent with normal Lassu use. Prohibited examples include:
- automated bulk transfers materially beyond ordinary human or documented API use;
- using Lassu as a general backup, object store, archival repository, seedbox, media warehouse, or cloud drive unrelated to Lassu's intended workflow;
- using Lassu primarily as storage, transcoding, or CDN infrastructure for an unrelated service;
- systematic hotlinking or redistribution that creates extraordinary playback or egress traffic;
- using multiple identities or workspaces to evade limits, pricing, or enforcement; or
- uploading duplicative or artificial content primarily to consume resources.
What “Unlimited” means
Unless an Order says otherwise, “Unlimited Videos,” “Unlimited Recordings,” or similar language means there is no predetermined numerical cap under normal, intended use. It does not promise infinite storage, bandwidth, throughput, transcoding, API requests, AI tokens, compute, or archival capacity. Plans remain subject to these Terms, technical limits in the Documentation, service reliability measures, and plan-specific features.
Review and remedies
If use is abusive, creates extraordinary costs, threatens the Services, materially exceeds normal plan use, or is inconsistent with Lassu's purpose, we may contact Customer, require changes, rate-limit or queue resource-intensive work, disable abusive links or automations, require a custom plan, or suspend or terminate affected access. Where practicable, we will give a paid Customer notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue, but may act immediately for security, fraud, unlawful activity, material degradation, or excessive resource consumption.
Unless Customer agreed to usage-based pricing, we will not retroactively impose a new overage fee solely because prior usage is later found excessive. Continued high-volume use may require a different plan or written agreement.
Third-party services and integrations
The Services may interoperate with third-party applications, identity providers, storage services, calendars, meeting platforms, messaging tools, AI providers, payment processors, or other services. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. Lassu is not responsible for third-party services or for changes, outages, security incidents, or data handling controlled by those providers.
If you authorize a third-party service to access Lassu, or authorize Lassu to access a third-party service, you instruct us to exchange information as necessary to provide the requested integration.
Fees, subscriptions, and billing
Paid plans and renewal
Pricing, features, billing frequency, included usage, and discounts are shown at checkout, in the applicable Order, or on our pricing page. Unless otherwise stated or prohibited by law, paid subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods equal to the current subscription term until canceled. You authorize Lassu or its payment processor to charge the payment method on file for recurring fees and taxes.
You may cancel through available account or billing settings or another method required by law. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current paid term. Overdue payment may result in payment retries, limited features, downgrade, suspension, or termination after any required notice.
Taxes, price changes, and promotions
Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. Customer is responsible for applicable sales, use, VAT, GST, withholding, or similar taxes, except taxes on our net income. Existing subscription price changes will generally apply at the next renewal after at least 30 days' advance notice, unless law or an Order requires otherwise. Trials, credits, coupons, and promotional access may be subject to additional terms.
Refunds
Except as required by law or expressly stated in an Order or refund policy, fees are non-refundable and non-creditable, including for partial terms, unused seats, unused features, or failure to use the Services.
Confidentiality
If the parties exchange non-public information identified as confidential or reasonably understood to be confidential (“Confidential Information”), the receiving party will use it only under these Terms, protect it with at least reasonable care, and disclose it only to people and providers who need to know it and are under confidentiality obligations.
Confidential Information excludes information lawfully known without restriction, independently developed, lawfully received from a third party without a duty of confidentiality, or publicly available through no breach. A party may disclose it where legally required, with notice where permitted and reasonable cooperation on protective treatment.
Intellectual property and feedback
Lassu and its licensors own Lassu Technology and its intellectual-property rights. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise. Lassu names, logos, product names, and branding may not be used to imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation without permission.
If you give us suggestions, ideas, or feature requests (“Feedback”), you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, modify, commercialize, and incorporate that Feedback without restriction or obligation. Feedback does not include Customer Content merely because a support issue involves that content.
Privacy, security, and data processing
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Lassu Privacy Policy. If we process personal data on a Customer's behalf as a processor or service provider, the parties may also be subject to a Data Processing Addendum incorporated into an Order.
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the Services. No system is completely secure, and we do not guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat security measures. Customer is responsible for access controls, permissions, sharing settings, retention settings, single sign-on, and other security features under its plan.
Legal and government requests
If we receive a request from law enforcement, a government authority, or another third party for Customer or Authorized User information, we will respond only to valid legal process and only to the extent we reasonably believe disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.
Where legally permitted and not reasonably likely to create a risk of harm, compromise an investigation, or defeat the purpose of the request, we will use reasonable efforts to notify the affected Customer before disclosure. We may redirect a requesting authority to Customer when appropriate. Nothing in this section prevents an emergency disclosure permitted by law to address an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm.
Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual-property rights and may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content. A copyright notice should identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact details, the legally required good-faith and accuracy statements, and your physical or electronic signature.
Send notices to allan+lassu@pageonelab.com with the subject “Copyright Notice.” We may terminate repeat infringers and may act on a first incident when warranted. Where applicable, a person whose content was removed may submit a compliant counter-notification.
Beta features and service availability
Alpha, beta, preview, early-access, experimental, or evaluation features may be incomplete, inaccurate, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time and may have additional terms. Unless agreed otherwise, they are provided “AS IS” without service-level commitments.
We may add, modify, or discontinue features to improve the Services, address security or legal requirements, respond to dependencies, or reflect product changes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Unless an Order or service-level agreement says otherwise, there is no uptime commitment. If we materially discontinue a paid Service during a prepaid term without a substantially comparable replacement, we may provide a prorated credit or refund where required.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and may cancel a paid subscription as described above. We may suspend or terminate access if Customer materially breaches these Terms, and, where the breach is curable, fails to cure it within 30 days after notice; fails to pay fees after required notice; creates a security, legal, fraud, abuse, or operational risk; violates the Prohibited Content rules; repeatedly violates policy; or if continued service becomes unlawful.
We may act immediately when reasonably necessary to prevent imminent harm, unlawful conduct, security compromise, fraud, extraordinary resource consumption, or material service degradation. On termination, the right to use affected Services ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including payment, intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, indemnification, liability, dispute, and general provisions.
Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES, LASSU TECHNOLOGY, AI FEATURES, BETA FEATURES, AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
LASSU DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, AND OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, COMPLETELY SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS; THAT CUSTOMER CONTENT WILL NEVER BE LOST OR CORRUPTED; OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, UNIQUE, LEGAL, OR SUITABLE. NOTHING HERE EXCLUDES RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.
Indemnification by Customer
To the extent permitted by law, Customer will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lassu, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from:
- Customer Content;
- unlawful recording, monitoring, interception, processing, publication, or sharing of another person's data or communications;
- Customer's violation of acceptable-use requirements or applicable law; or
- Customer's infringement or violation of third-party rights.
We will provide reasonable notice and cooperation at Customer's expense. Customer may not settle in a way that admits wrongdoing by Lassu or imposes non-monetary obligations on us without our written consent.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT THEY WERE POSSIBLE.
EXCEPT FOR LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED, EACH PARTY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS CUSTOMER PAID OR PAYABLE FOR THE SERVICES GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT, OR (B) US$100 IF CUSTOMER USED ONLY FREE SERVICES IN THAT PERIOD.
AN APPLICABLE ENTERPRISE ORDER MAY SET DIFFERENT LIABILITY TERMS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY.
Export controls and sanctions
You may not access or use the Services in violation of applicable export-control, sanctions, or trade laws. You represent that you are not prohibited from receiving the Services and will not export, re-export, transfer, or provide controlled technology or information in violation of law.
Governing law and disputes
If an applicable signed Order identifies governing law and venue, those terms control. Otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of the Lassu service provider's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the parties submit to courts with jurisdiction there, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
Nothing prevents either party from seeking temporary or preliminary injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, Confidential Information, or the security and integrity of the Services. Consumer rights available under mandatory local law are not limited by this section.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For a material change, we will provide notice as required by law, such as by email, in-product notice, or an updated version with a new effective date. Unless law requires otherwise, material changes to paid subscription terms generally apply at the next renewal or 30 days after notice, whichever is later.
Changes needed for law, security, abuse prevention, or newly introduced features may take effect earlier where reasonably necessary. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
General terms
- Order of precedence. A signed Order controls a conflict with these Terms. A DPA controls conflicts about personal-data processing.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without consent, except as part of a qualifying merger, reorganization, or asset sale. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a corporate transaction.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, except Customer's obligation to pay amounts already due.
- Relationship. The parties are independent contractors. These Terms create no partnership, franchise, joint venture, fiduciary, employment, or agency relationship, and no third-party beneficiaries unless expressly stated.
- Severability and waiver. An unenforceable provision will be modified only as needed; remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce is not a waiver.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, applicable Orders, the Privacy Policy, applicable DPAs, and incorporated policies are the entire agreement about the Services unless a signed agreement expressly supersedes them.
- Electronic communications. You consent to receive transactional and legal communications electronically, subject to applicable law.
Contact
Questions or legal notices about these Terms may be sent to allan+lassu@pageonelab.com. Privacy questions should be sent to allan+lassu@pageonelab.com.
If an Order identifies a different notice address or Lassu contracting entity, use the contact details in that Order for formal notices.
